In Abyss movie, is the diving gear used for deep diving reel or real?
The diving gear worn by the lead actor in defusing the nuke, has some sort of liquid loaded with high oxygen content, that he can breathe. This also keep him from crushing him like a tin can. Is it really in existence today?
Although there are studies for such a system, the one used in the movie is pure fiction. The problem with the one in development is to get the liquid out of the lungs. Rats have been able to survive for nearly 3 hours breathing a special liquid, but die when trying to drain the liquid.
